Sony Xperia Z is the latest addition to Sony’s range of Android-based smartphones. Sony Xperia Z has been into the news recently due to the fact that it is a high-end smartphone that is water-proof. I have seen many people sharing photographs and videos which they’ve taken underwater using their Sony Xperia Z.
At first, I was amazed to even think of an Android phone which can be used for underwater photography. Before moving further, let’s have a look at one of those pictures:
Sony Xperia Z has been given an IP55 and IP57 ratings by experts. This means that your Sony Xperia Z is not only waterproof but is also dustproof. I have seen many videos where people have washed their Sony Xperia Z under tap water. All these videos are 100% original and one cannot question them because the IP55 and IP57 themselves say it all.
If you don’t have a Sony Xperia Z then we would like to tell you that all the external ports such as micro-USB, 3.5 mm audio jack ports are required to be closed.
Sony Xperia Z: Point to be Noted
Here are a few points which you should be knowing before using your Sony Xperia Z:
- As and when Sony Xperia Z comes in contact with water, the screen starts getting tapped. There will be random Apps which will start on their own.
- If you really want to try under-water photography with it, make sure that you do it when there is good amount of light. This is because the LED flash present at the back of Sony Xperia Z has no effect underwater.
- Do check twice that all ports are closed else, the device will get bricked.
- For better results, you may use image stablizer option available under Camera.
So we hope that you make good use of your Sony Xperia Z. If you have any questions, please send them to us using the below comment form.
